Srinagar, Sep 22 (ANI): Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Minister of State (MoS) in Prime Minister's officer (PMO) Jitendra Singh on Monday conducted an aerial survey of the flood hit Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of the situation in the state. Later, the ministers met with the state chief minister Omar Abdullah and discussed on the issues facing the state today. Gadkari further announced funds for the rehabilitation of the state. He also assured all possible help by the central government and said that the state is ordered to start the halted projects in the state worth Rs 25 thousand crore. Sep 22, 2014

The poetry and paintings describe the seven cities of Delhi, their past living and the present through the monuments. Poonch/Ramban/ Kishtwar, Sept 16 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, visited flood-hit Poonch district and assured people that the government is trying to reach out to all flood victims. The authorities have also opened the route connecting Jammu city with the valley, via Kishtwar to Srinagar. Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, Shant Manu, who did the aerial survey of the area, said the route will be initially opened solely for the vehicles carrying essential commodities and light vehicles. Sep 14 (ANI): Minister of State in prime minister's office (PMO) Jitendra Singh took an aerial survey of devastated Kashmir valley submerged in flood waters with many people still trapped atop their homes, while thousands crowded in relief camps. Both the Indian and Pakistan sides of the disputed Himalayan territory have been hit by extensive flooding since the Jhelum River, swollen by unusually heavy rain, surged last week. Schools in Jammu reopen after flood water recedes in JandK

Jammu, Sep 12 (ANI): Educational institutions in the Jammu division, except those serving as relief camps for flood-affected people, reopens on Friday as the level of flood water receded in flood ravaged Jammu and Kashmir. The Divisional Commissioner sent a circular asking the Jammu division to open all educational institutions. Earlier on Thursday, India Air force officials conducted aerial survey of devastated Jammu region to assess the damage. Indian Air Force official, Prashant Patange, said more than 70 aircrafts were flying over the flood-hit areas to provide relief and pull out stranded people. Meanwhile, the 300-km-long Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed for traffic due to landslides at various places in Ramban district of the state.
