He further said that it was a sign of great pride and honour to see the girl who commanded him the Guard of Honour. President Obama, who was on a three-day visit of India, concludes his trip later in the day. Jorhat/ Imphal, Jan 26 (ANI): Police officials recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and later demolished it in Assam on Monday (January 26), on the occasion of country’s 66th Republic Day. Police said they recovered the bomb from the boundary wall of a refinery godown in Jorhat city. The IED weighing two kilogram was wrapped in black polythene bag. Later, the Bomb Disposal Squad of Assam Police detonated the bomb. Earlier in the day low intensity blasts rocked Imphal city in Manipur. Police personnel were deployed at key locations in Imphal leading towards the venue of Republic Day celebrations.
