Abbas said that the conditions in Iraq are dangerous but no Indian has been killed. He added that the Indian Embassy in Iraq is helping the stranded Indians to return home safely. India stays in constant touch with nationals stranded in Iraq

New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): India said on Wednesday that it is in regular touch with the nationals stranded in Iraq overrun by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), as it has decided to send a diplomat to support the embassy in its efforts. MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin, said security of the Indian nationals in Iraq remains a matter of serious concern. Akbaruddin also said they are assisting all callers by providing helpline numbers in New Delhi. Akbaruddin further said the violence in Iraq was not targeted towards Indian nationals.
