New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party chief, Arvind Kejriwal, was released on Tuesday after he submitted personal bail bond in the defamation case, filed by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. Gadkari, had filed a defamation case on February 18, after Kejriwal called him as one of the most corrupt leaders in his list of 'India's most corrupt'. AAP leader, Harvinder Singh Phoolka, said the court issued a notice and asked Kejriwal to come out of jail, which he agreed and signed the personal bond till July 31. Earlier, a New Delhi court had ordered judicial custody for Kejriwal on May 21 after he refused to furnish the bond of Rs. 10,000 in the defamation case. May 28, 2014

New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to 14-day judicial custody in the defamation case filed by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari. Kejriwal was sent to Tihar Jail after he refused to pay a personal bond as directed by the court. The next hearing is on June 6. He has already spent two nights in judicial custody after he refused to pay the personal bond saying it was against AAP's principles. Chennai, May 22 (ANI): Supporters of Aam Aadmi Party took to streets and protested in Chennai on Thursday, a day after party chief Arvind Kejriwal was sent to two-day judicial custody. Kejriwal was sent to judicial custody by a court in New Delhi on Wednesday in connection with defamation case filed against him by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, after he refused to furnish bond of rupees 10,000 in the case. Gadkari had filed a defamation case on February 18, after Kejriwal called him as one of the most corrupt leaders in his list of 'India's most corrupt'. AAP justifies protest, says Gadkari will be exposed soon

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): AAP leaders on Thursday justified the protest held by AAP supporters against AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal's arrest outside Tihar Jail on Wednesday. Ashutosh stated that AAP respects law and order but protesting peacefully against injustice was not wrong. Meanwhile, Sanjay Singh raised questions as to why action was not taken against BJP leader Ram Jethmilani as he too had called Nitin Gadkari as corrupt several times. He also said that Narendra Modi had called Kejriwal a 'Pakistani agent' in public for which he had no proof, thus raising questions on law and order of the nation to take action against him too.
