Kathmandu, Nov 13 (ANI): Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, met Nepal's Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at his official residence in Kathmandu. Gadkari was in Nepal for two-day infrastructure summit. During the meeting, Gadkari and Koirala discussed about various issues like India-Nepal relations and development assistance. Gadkari also assured Prime Minister Koirala of complete cooperation and support from India in development issues. Nay Pyi Taw, Nov 13 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on the sidelines of the ongoing East Asia Summit 2014 in Myanmar's capital Naypyitaw. "I am glad to meet you. Earlier, Russia's former Prime Minister had come to India. We had a very nice discussion on various issues, and now, we are waiting for Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit the country on December 11. People in India are very excited to welcome him," Prime Minister Modi told Prime Minister Medvedev. He added that he was waiting that on December 11 India will be able to attain new heights in terms of relationship with Russia. Prime Minister Modi is in Myanmar as part of his 10-day trip to three nations, the other two being Australia and Fiji. PM Modi to visit Australia this week for G-20 summit

New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Australia from November 16-18 for G-20 summit later this week, said foreign ministry official. India wants to keep a so-called 'peace clause' that protects its huge state food purchases until the World Trade Organization can strike a definitive deal on stockpiling. As originally envisaged in Bali, the clause would expire in four years. India’s foreign ministry official Anil Wadhwa said Modi`s visit to Australia would improve and strengthen relations between the two countries. India would also discuss contours of an agreement between US, Japan, India and Australia to check Chinese influence in the region. The Prime Minister will hold delegation-level talks with his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott, and will address the Parliament in Canberra. He will have political-business community meetings in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The Prime Minister will also participate in the G-20 Summit in Australia, following which he shall travel to Fiji after a gap of 33 years.
