LS Polls: Voting begins in Delhi

New Delhi, April 10 (ANI): Polling began on Thursday in Delhi, in the phase three of the nine-phase of 16th Lok Sabha elections. Delhiites are voting to elect their seven representatives from the seven constituencies of Delhi which are- Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi and South Delhi. Voters have queued up outside the polling booths eagerly waiting for their turn. Security forces have stepped up safety measures to ensure safe and fearless environment for voters. With the emergence of the Aam Aadmi Party in 2012, the voters here will witness a triangular fight on all the seven Lok Sabha seats between Congress, BJP and AAP. Congress' Imran Masood arrested for threatening Narendra Modi

Saharanpur, Mar 29 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday arrested the leader and candidate of ruling Congress party, Imran Masood, who openly threatened to hack BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi to pieces. A criminal case was registered against him on March 28 after a video of him threatening Modi went viral on the web. An FIR accused Masood, of violating the election code of conduct. EC bans NaMo tea stall, draws reaction

New Delhi, March 11 (ANI): After Election Commission puts ban on BJP’s ‘NaMo’ tea stall election campaign, BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the party workers are requested to function without breaking model code of conduct and the order by the EC will be followed. Reacting on the same, Congress leader Shobha Oza said that the whole thing was nothing but a ‘gimmick’ and that this is nothing new that BJP is giving things for free to people before elections. Further, RJD leader Manoj Jha welcomed the step by EC and said that ‘NaMo’ tea was like dangerous ideas being served to people.
