Tibetan PM-in-exile attends 10th anniversary celebrations of NGO in Dharamsala

Dharamsala, Oct 28 (ANI): Tibetan Prime Minister-in-exile, Lobsang Sangay attended the foundation day of a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Tibet Charity, in Dharamsala. The NGO, in its 10th year, has been contributing immensely in the fields of education, social development and animal care. Hundreds of Tibetans and supporters gathered at Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) near Dharamsala to celebrate the event wherein leaders and activists delivered speeches and various artists performed cultural activities. The audio launch event of 'Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham', starring Sai Dharam Tej and Regina Cassandra in the leads, has been held at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad. Mega family heroes Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Naga Babu graced the event. UK culture secretary announces funds to boost ties with India

New Delhi, Oct 16 (ANI): Britain's Culture Secretary, Sajid Javid, lauded creative minds in India and announced £ 1.5 million funds in a bid to boost cultural exchange between the two countries. Javid said the funds will help in giving a push to Indian museum movement as the country has strong cultural roots. He added that the UK was a world leader in museum management and it would like to share experience with many countries around the world. This initiative has been taken in the backdrop of 'Re-Imagine India' project that will provide opportunities for developing collaborations and cultural exchanges through showcasing the best of British and Indian arts. Javid also met Union Culture Minister Shripad Yesso Naik and signed documents to build creative connection between the two nations. Oct 16, 2014
