UK Deputy PM inaugurates business centre in Bangalore to foster economic ties

Bangalore, Aug 28 (ANI): United Kingdom's Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, inaugurated a branch of UK India Business Council (UKIBC), TechHub, a non-profit organisation, in IT hub of Bangalore to foster trade relations between the two nations. Clegg is on a mission to bolster trade and strategic ties with former colony India. The newly-inaugurated TechHub is a workspace for entrepreneurs and promises to support 1,000 start-ups within the next three years. UK wants to boost Indias target to expand education sector: Nick Clegg

New Delhi, Aug 25 (ANI): Britain Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg on Monday said that UK wants to boost India’s target to expand education sector further. Clegg said that India and UK both has capability to expand the sector with the help of each other and they should do so. Britain Deputy PM Nick Clegg meets PM Narendra Modi and Jaitley on his 3-days India visit

New Delhi, Aug 25 (ANI): Britain's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday. He also met Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley following the same. Clegg is on a three days visit with an aim to bolster trade and strategic ties with India. His visit is intended to yield any immediate deals between the two governments, but is rather seen as the dawn of a long-term British strategy to focus relations with India on economic exchanges. Earlier, Clegg visited holy Sikh temple Bangla Sahib in the national capital. After offering prayers at the temple and taking a tour of the museum inside the temple premises, Clegg hailed the members of the Sikh community for their welcoming attitude to people of other faiths. New Delhi, Aug 25 (ANI): Britain's deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg began his three days India visit on Monday by paying homage to martyrs at India gate war memorial, Amar Jawan Jyoti. Clegg is on a trade mission to India, where he will meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a bid to strengthen economic ties. The three-day visit by a 40-strong delegation is the latest in a series of similar trips by David Cameron's government which will foster closer links with the world's largest democracy.
