Activists stage theatre in Dharamsala to urge G-20 leaders to unite for Tibet

Dharamsala, Nov 15 (ANI): Members of a Tibetan non-governmental organisation in exile, Students for a free Tibet-India, performed a political theatre in Dharamsala to urge the world leaders to come together to raise the issue of Tibet at the ongoing G-20 Leaders' Summit in Australia. The activists wore masks of various political leaders during their acts and also held banners. Many Tibetan supporters carried out similar acts across the world. A cycle rally was also carried out across University of Delhi to gather support for this new approach to talk about a solution to the Tibet problem. Brisbane, Nov 15 (ANI): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met French President Francois Hollande for bilateral talks at the G20 Leaders' Summit in Brisbane, Australia. The G20 summit in Brisbane is focused on boosting world growth, fireproofing the global banking system and closing tax loopholes for giant multinationals. Earlier this year, France had proposed to give India a 1 billion euro ($1.4 billion) credit line to fund sustainable infrastructure and urban development projects. The credit line would be available over three years and would be delivered through the French Development Agency, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius had said on his visit to New Delhi in July. The summit will conclude on Sunday with the release of an official communique, a rundown of what the countries have achieved and want to achieve in the future. Ahead of G-20 Summit in an informal meeting with leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told them that repatriation of unaccounted money abroad is a key priority for India. Brisbane, Nov 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived at the venue of the G-20 Summit meeting where he will be seen joining ranks with leaders from 20 nations around the world on Saturday. Earlier today, US President Barrack Obama and his Russian counterpart Vladamir Putin arrived in Brisbane for the summit. Yesterday, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hosted a dinner for his Indian counterpart on the margins of the G-20 Summit, and had told the leader that he was happy to meet him once again. After attending the G-20 Summit in Brisbane, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Sydney, where he will attend a community reception and address the Indian Diaspora. The Prime Minister will then travel to Canberra and address the special joint sitting of the Australian Parliament on November 18.
