Hence, there is a belief in the powers of the Sufi saints, and people from all walks of life congregate at their shrines to pay their respects. The Urs of Baba Faiz Baksh Shah Bukhari in Rajouri district provides a perfect example of this fact. Here, every year, devotees from different faiths come in large numbers to pay obeisance to the revered saint. Legend has that the saint was a mystic who devoted his entire life for the betterment of mankind, and preached communal harmony. It is believed that wishes of devotees are fulfilled here.
