Politicos react after Election Commission censures MHA over 1984 compensation

New Delhi, Nov 7 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Friday after the Election Commission in a letter to the home ministry censured the government for hiking compensation to families affected in the 1984 Sikh riots, saying it violated the model code of conduct. Congress leader Rashid Alvi, reacting over EC’s letter, said that the EC took a right step and condemned the government for breaking the model code of conduct. Star Cast at the screening of 'Rang Rasiya'

Mumbai, Nov 7 (ANI): Star cast of Bollywood film 'Rang Rasiya’ attended the movie premiere in India's entertainment capital Mumbai on Thursday. 'Rang Rasiya' has been inspired by the real life story of 19th century painter Raja Ravi Varma, known for portraying women in the image of goddess on canvas. It stars Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda and actress Nandana Sen in lead roles. Talking about her character, Nandana said she expects the audience to watch the film with an open mind as the film portrays eroticism. The film has been directed by acclaimed Indian film director Ketan Mehta who had long struggled to get a green signal from Central Board of Film Certification due to portrayal of bold scenes between the lead pair. Bollywood actresses Tabu and Manisha Koirala were also present for the movie premiere. Meanwhile, the director was thrilled for the movie released after struggling to find a place in theatres for six years. The film has been produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendroo. Nov 7, 2014

Reactions come in as Delhi HC slams MCD for running 'Dirty India Campaign'

New Delhi/ Kaushambi, Nov 06 (ANI): Reactions come from political leaders after Delhi High Court slammed Municipal Corporation of Delhi for unhygienic conditions in the national capital and made an observation that it was running a 'Ganda Bharat Abhiyan' or 'Dirty India Campaign'. While BJP said that government is committed to its 'Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’, Congress and AAP alleged that the ruling BJP is only doing a show off and the MCD under them has failed to perform on the ground. CPI leader D Raja also said that now that the HC has slammed the MCD, it needs to give a report on the same.
