Dozens of protesters gathered in London to call on Kabila to step down, after mass protests in the Democratic Republic of Congo turned deadly on 19 September. At least 17 people were killed after huge protests in the DRC capital Kinshasa. Former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden and his supporters made their case for the American whistleblower to be pardoned. Snowden, who lives in Moscow, appeared via video link at a news conference in New York to say he doesnt regret his decision.
