Speculations over Modi-Sharif meet during SAARC summit gains momentum; Politicos react

New Delhi, Nov 24 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Monday after speculations over bilateral meet between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during the SAARC summit gained momentum. BJP leader GVL Narsimha Rao said that Pakistan doesn't appear to be quite interested in having any bilateral meets. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that SAARC is a multi-lateral meeting and the government doesn't seem to make any preparations for any bilateral meet. Shaina NC says she is confused if Mayawati is 'he or she', women activists condemn

New Delhi, Nov 23 (ANI): Women rights activists on Sunday condemned BJP spokesperson Shaina NC who took a jibe at former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati by saying that she is confused whether the BSP chief is 'he' or 'she'. She said this while participating in Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) event at Jaipur. AIPWA Secretary Kavita Krishnan said that this is anti-women statement by a spokesperson of ruling party. She also said that such statement implies that a woman who does not wear saree or have short hair is somewhat not womanly enough. She also said that the BJP should take cognizance of this and should confront her. BAJAJ HOLDINGS and INVESTMENT LTD. and GUJARAT GAS CO.LTD. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.77% and 7.40% along with KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK LTD. and ING VYSYA BANK LTD. with an increase of 7.28% and 7.15% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include RASOYA PROTEINS LTD and AMARA RAJA BATTERIES LTD with a decrease of 9.95% and 6.22% along with SHREE RENUKA SUGARS LTD and JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES LTD with a decrease of 5.68% and 5.22% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 84.35 points at 18,822.94 while the banking sector is up 74.11 points at 20,204.71 and the reality sector is down 25.00 points at 1,623.35.
