Kashmir police fires tear gas shells on Muslims protesting over Gaza crisis

Srinagar/ New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): Security personnel fired tear gas shells at the stone-pelting protesters who took to streets in Kashmir on Tuesday against the Israeli attacks on Gaza. After offering prayers on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, Muslims came out in droves in Srinagar to protest against Israel. The security personnel chased and fired at the protesters. In retaliation, the protesters pelted stones at the security personnel. Meanwhile, Muslims who congregated at the New Delhi's historic mosque, Jama Masjid, also protested against Israel. International calls for a ceasefire have grown as the death toll has mounted in the worst flare-up of Israeli-Palestinian violence in almost two years, sparked by the murder of three Israeli teenagers and revenge killing of a Palestinian youth. Gaza civilians voice outrage as ceasefire ends with Hamas firing on Israel

Gaza Strip, July 27 (ANI): As a temporary ceasefire ended with Hamas firing more rockets, Gaza civilians voiced their outrage over the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, calling it a massacre and saying that nearly half of the victims were innocent children. A 12-hour humanitarian ceasefire had come into effect in the Gaza Strip on Saturday morning after Hamas and Israel accepted a UN proposal late Friday night. Gaza's heath ministry said that the death toll in the 19-day Israeli offensive in Gaza has reached 1,030 and that more than 6,000 others have been injured.
