Speaking ahead of the game against West Brom on 29 October, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admitted at a press conference Vincent Kompany had left the previous game against Manchester United because he was tired: “He told us he was tired and not ready for the second half.” Following a history of injuries in the last two years Guardiola continued saying he is willing to build up Kompany as and when he feels ready. First known fossilised dinosaur brain tissue found in Sussex

An unassuming brown pebble, found more than a decade ago by a fossil hunter in East Sussex, has been confirmed as the first example of fossilised brain tissue from a dinosaur. The fossil, most likely from a species closely related to Iguanodon, displays distinct similarities to the brains of modern-day crocodiles and birds. The first mission of the ExoMars programme, scheduled to arrive at Mars on Wednesday (19 October), consists of a Trace Gas Orbiter plus an Entry, descent and landing Demonstrator Module, known as Schiaparelli. The main objectives of this mission are to search for evidence of methane and other trace atmospheric gases that could be signatures of active biological or geological processes and to test key technologies in preparation for ESAs contribution to subsequent missions to Mars.
