Congress releases poll manifesto, Sonia Gandhi calls it 'people's manifesto'

New Delhi, March 26 (ANI): Releasing the party manifesto for the upcoming general elections, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday said that the party has released a 'people's manifesto' as it includes their suggestions and advices which Rahul Gandhi gathered after talking to different sections of society personally. Gandhi said that Congress has promised Right to Healthcare, enhancement of social security programmes, fixed pension scheme, etc in the manifesto. Rahul says dedicating their life to nation, soldiers are true heroes

Chandigarh, Feb 25 (ANI): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi referring to the army men said that “dedicating their life to nation soldiers are true heroes” as the ex-service men thank him for his relentless efforts to push the ‘One Rank, One Pension’ scheme. Gandhi regretted the delay in clearing of the scheme and said that it should have been implemented long back. Gandhi said that ‘One Rank One Pension’ scheme would prove historical for the welfare of the soldiers, who defend the country by working in difficult conditions. Feb 25, 2014
