Hungry flood victims look forward to food supply with repaired roads in Kashmir

Rajouri, Sep 15 (ANI): Road repair in Kashmir made rapid progress as people stranded in the flood waters in Rajouri district awaited desperately for access to food and medicine. Authorities of Border Road Organisation (BRO) worked on a war footing to revive the roads damaged by landslide and facilitate communication with the rest of the state. Border Road Organisation and Army with the help of the locals have been working day and night to make temporary arrangement to address the immediate need of the people. Sep 15, 2014

Will speed up CBI probe over rhino poaching, Zero-tolerance towards the same: Prakash Javadekar

Assam, Sep 06 (ANI): Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar took stock of animal poaching in Kaziranga National Park in Assam and said that strict action is needed to save the wildlife. Javadekar arrived in Assam for a two-day visit where he observed the measures to conserve the wildlife, existing infrastructure besides discussing about the rapid shrinking forest cover in the northeast region. Later, while addressing a news conference, Javadekar said that the ministry will speed up CBI probe over the issue and that they had zero tolerance over the same. Javadekar also said that the ministry will form special rhino protection force consisting of locals to protest the rare species. Sep 6, 2014
