Rajnath Singh, Uma Bharti participate in Gomti River cleanliness drive

Lucknow, Sept 30 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, and Water Resources Minister, Uma Bharti, participated in a cleanliness drive of drying and polluted Gomti River in Lucknow on Tuesday. The ministers said that all the required attempts will be ensured to rejuvenate the water body. Singh said that countries with dying rivers cannot develop and cited the example of development of London after the rejuvenation of Thames River. Meanwhile, Bharti said that the Gomti River will be rejuvenated in the line of Sabarmati River in Gujarat. Visva Bharti University sexual assault case: FIR registered against 3 students

Bolpur, Aug 30 (ANI): FIR was registered against three students on Saturday in the Visva-Bharati University alleged sexual assault case. According to reports, the prestigious University has suspended three students for their alleged involvement in the case. Police has initiated probe into the incident after the complaint was lodged by the University. The shocking incident came to light when a Sikkimese student studying in the university submitted a complaint against the three students of her department and accused them of sexually harassing her. Kiran Bedi on Visva-Bharati University ragging case

New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): Former IPS Officer Kiran Bedi on Saturday condemned the disturbing incident of ragging in the prestigious Visva-Bharati University located at Shantiniketan in West Bengal wherein a girl student was allegedly striped naked by male seniors. The girl has alleged that the students also took her photographs and threatened to circulate it if the incident was disclosed. Bedi said that educational institutions should take steps to remind new students about ragging and rules of the institutions.
