Muzaffarnagar riots: Politicos condemn UP BJP'S plan to seek tickets for four riot-accused MLAs

New Delhi, March 10 (ANI): Cutting across political lines, leaders on Monday condemned the BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit plans to seek Lok Sabha tickets for the four BJP MLAs booked on the charge of fuelling Muzaffarnagar riots. The party plans to propose fielding Kairana MLA Hukum Singh from the Kairana Lok Sabha seat, Bijnore MLA Bhartendu Singh from Bijnore, Sardhana MLA Sangeet Som from Muzaffarnagar seat, and Thana Bhawan MLA Suresh Rana from Saharanpur. New Delhi/Lucknow, Jan 11 (ANI): Politicians have slammed the defensive remarks of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav over the extravagant fiesta in his hometown, Saifai, even as hundreds of miserable and homeless riot victims desperately struggle to survive the bone chilling cold in relief camps in Muzaffarnagar. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has drawn criticism for spending millions of rupees on its fortnight-long annual carnival 'Saifai Mahotsav'. Former leader from SP, Amar Singh, lashed at the chief minister and said instead of blaming the media he should have first introspected his own mistakes.
