Protesters break into Finnish-Russian nuclear site

Anti-nuclear protesters broke into a construction site for a nuclear reactor on 26 April, choosing the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster for their demonstration. Police estimated that close to 50 protesters gathered near the Fennovoima site in northern Finland and around 40 were detained. Apr 27, 2016

Prince fans create a pop-up star on Hollywoods walk of fame

Pedestrians along Hollywood Boulevards Walk of Fame stopped to pay tribute to Prince on 22 April, beside a make-shift memorial drawn on a blank star on the renowned sidewalk. The fact that Prince doesnt have a star on the famed walkway didnt stop a creative artist from changing that by drawing his likeness on the sidewalk. Candles, flowers and a photo of Prince were added to the memorial and people stopped to honour his life and the contributions he made to the music industry for more than three decades. Apr 23, 2016

ISS astronauts capture stunning 4K footage of Aurora Borealis

Astronauts on the International Space Station shared their view of the Auroras Borealis and Australis across the Earth in an ultra-high definition (UHD) 4K timelapse video published on 17 April. Nasa has partnered with technology company Harmonic since 2015 for a non-commercial UHD channel aimed at showing the“breathtaking beauty and grandeur of space.” Apr 19, 2016
