New Delhi, Sep 30 (ANI): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi's US visit is coming to a close with series of events and meetings with high dignitaries, political leaders back in India remained critical of his 'points of concerns' raised in US. BJP remained proud on the issues raised by PM and said that the speech was comprehensive. Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that it will be good if PM's words get converted into foreign funds for India. CPI leader Atul Anjan said that Modi's visit came out to be a success but the story behind it is the effort put by his supporters to convince such support in US too. New Delhi/J&K,Sept 26 (ANI): Devotees across India thronged the temples on the first day of Navratri when Hindus worship mother goddess Durga in all her manifestations. Navratri, derived from the ancient Sanskrit words 'nine nights', falls this year from September 25 to October 03. People stood in queues early morning on Thursday as they visited temples to seek the blessings of mother goddess Durga. Devotees celebrate the festival with religious fervour as they pray before the idol of the goddess, sing religious songs and perform aarti while observing fast. During one of the biggest Hindu festival celebrated across India in different forms and names, temples are beautifully decorated with flowers, leaves, petals, lights and the priests ornate idols of goddess Durga with new clothes and jewellery. Meanwhile, a priest at a temple in New Delhi said on the first day of the festival the goddess Durga is worshipped in the form of Shailputri or daughter of king of mountains. It is believed that during Navratri, the goddess Durga descends on earth to rid it of demons and bless her devotees with happiness and prosperity. Boxer Manoj Kumar to get Arjuna Award after winning court battle

New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): Boxer Manoj Kumar, who was earlier not considered for the Arjuna award by the Kapil Dev-led Committee, will receive the honor after he won the legal battle and the sports ministry accepted his nomination. Kumar was mistakenly considered to be involved in the doping case by the committee and had challenged the committee's decision in the High Court. Politicos react as Shatrughan Sinha slams Sushil Modi for BJP's jolt in Bihar by-polls

New Delhi, Sep 17 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Wednesday after BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha blamed BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi for party's poor performance in Bihar assembly elections. RJD leader Manoj Jha said that Shahtrughan Sinha's statement is correct and that he has echoed the sentiments of large number of BJP workers in Bihar. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the increasing arrogance within BJP is being noticed by everyone.
