Midnapur, June 28 (ANI): Throughout India many people cross religious and communal lines to promote peace and harmony within their communities. One such individual is Chamat Kumar Setua, a Hindu caretaker of a Sufi saint, Chandsa Baba's shrine. Starting out as a businessman and disciple of Chandsa Baba, Chamat Kumar Setua built the shrine himself in honor of the saint after Chandsa Baba's death in 1980. He has spent the last 34 years maintaining the premises of the shrine single-handedly, and promoting peace and harmony among Hindus and Muslims in the region. Chamat Kumar Setua's undying devotion to Chandsa Baba's legacy has made him and the shrine a symbol of communal harmony across the region. Jul 28, 2014

New Delhi, July 25 (ANI): India, on Friday, has summoned Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner over delay in trial of Mumbai 26/11 attacks. While the Pakistan deputy high commissioner was summoned to the ministry of external affairs in India, the Indian deputy high commissioner went to the Pakistan foreign office in Islamabad and lodged a similar protest. Reactions pour in after ceasefire violation at JandK's RS Pura reported

New Delhi, July 20 (ANI): Pakistani troops again resorted to violating ceasefire by firing on an outpost along the international border in RS Pura sector of Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir. The firing started at around 1:00 am in the night and lasted till morning 5:30 am. Reportedly, heavy firing took place at border villages including Gharna, Sai, Kaku De Kothey and Pindi villages. Due to landing of some mortar shells in the residential areas some animals died and some were left injured as well. Shirdi, July 19 (ANI): A delegation of Hindu priests' apex body after visiting the revered Saint Sai Baba temple at Shirdi termed the recent controversial remark made by top Indian seer Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati as baseless. Condemning Swaroopanand's remark, the delegation said they monitored all the Hindu rituals being performed in the Sai Baba's temple very closely and did not find anything anti-ancient Hindu tradition. Taking a dig at Swami Swaroopanand, Swami Acharya Pramod Krishnam, one of the senior Hindu priests said the traditional rituals and routine followed by the temple do not violate norms of ancient Hindu customs.
