Daniel Radcliffe 'not marketable' sans his english accent

New Delhi, Feb 02 (ANI): Daniel Radcliffe has been told that he can never ditch his English accent, which makes him marketable. The actor said in an interview that producers told him to get rid of a Canadian accent that he was going to use for a role because he is not marketable without his English accent, which is bad news for all the other stuff he has done with American accents, a leading daily reported. The 'Harry Potter' star, from west London, added that it was one of those ridiculous last-minute panics on their behalf, but he certainly wasn't going to go: "Well, screw you guys, I'm going to put 200 people out of work for the sake of an accent ."Radcliffe, who now lives in New York, continued that a couple of quite good action films have come his way, but there's never a fresh character involved in any of those films. It's just the same people thrown into different cities with different casts. Radcliffe, who likes action movies, added that he feels there used to be lots of really witty ones, like 'Die Hard,' 'Lethal Weapon' and the 'Bourne' movies, but the good ones are few and far between now. Serena Williams wins Australian Open Tennis singles trophy

Australia, Feb 01 (ANI): Serena Williams posed with her trophy after she won the 19th Grand Slam in Melbourne, with a victory over Maria Sharapova in the final of the Australian Open. It was Williams' sixth title at Melbourne Park and it moved her into a tie with fellow American Helen Wills Moody in third on the all-time list after she joined Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert on 18 at last year's US Open. William's had been battling a cold and cough the entire tournament, so was reluctant to head out and celebrate after her win. Williams said she hopes she can be a good role model for children. Meanwhile, five times grand slam singles winner Martina Hingis won her second Australian Open mixed doubles title as she teamed with India's Leander Paes to beat last year's winners France's Kristina Mladenovic and Canada's Daniel Nestor 6-4 6-3. It was the first time the pair, who were seeded seventh, had played together at a grand slam. Feb 1, 2015
