Multiple faiths throng to annual Urs of sufi saint Syed Hazrat Jalal Shah to pay him obeisance

Haldwani, Sep 16 (ANI): India is a land of multiple faiths, and people of the country enjoy this diversity with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. This week we take you to the Haldwani City in Uttrankhand where devotees belonging to different communities pay obeisance to sufi saint, Syed Hazrat Jalal Shah. A large number of devotees, including men, women and children throng the annual Urs of Baba to pay rich tributes to saint. During the celebration, people gather around the shrine of Baba and chant hymns to seek blessings. Various rituals, as per Sufi tradition, are also performed here. Director Gunasekhar’s dream project Rudramadevi, which has Anusha in the lead has finally completed shooting after two years of being on floor. Director Gunasekhar said that he was delighted that they've completed the project on time. He also added that they plan to release it in december. It is currently under post production stage which includes some 3d works. The periodic drama is the story of a fierce woman ruler of Kakatiya dynasty. Anushka is playing the titular role of 13 century Kakatiya queen Rudramadevi. She learnt sword fighting and horse riding for the role. Defence experts say Al Qaeda video a ploy to attract local youth

New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Defence experts said on Thursday that al Qaeda’s announcement of the formation of a wing of the militant group in India and its neighbourhood is a propaganda ploy aimed at attracting local youth to the organisation. Al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahri on Wednesday announced the formation of an Indian branch of his militant group he said would spread Islamic rule and “raise the flag of jihad” across the subcontinent. Internal Security Expert Ajay Sahni said such videos have been released in the past as well. Defence Expert Afzal Kareem dismissed it as a big threat. New Delhi, Aug 30 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his way to Japan on Saturday for a five-day trip, hoping to win Japanese backing for a nuclear energy pact and lure investment to help kick-start its economy. Accoring to experts, getting a nuclear deal will be Modi's top priority during the visit. Defence expert Uday Bhaskar, however said that Modi will have to first address Japan's concern about nuclear proliferation. Followers of Sai Baba and Shankaracharya entered into clash in Chhattisgarh

Kawardha, Aug 26 (ANI): Devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba and followers of revered Hindu cleric Shankaracharya Swaroopananda Saraswati clashed during 'dharma sansad' (Religious Parliament) in Kawardha city of Chhattisgarh. The scuffle broke out when two Sai devotees, who had come to express their views on Sai Baba debate, questioned Shankaracharya which upset his disciples. Later, Shankarachrya intervened to pacify them and the police had to deploy extra force to prevent any untoward incident. Another Hindu Cleric, Narendra Giri, threatened to dismantle Sai statutes.
