Search still on for kidnapped Chinese cyclist: Pak Foreign

Islamabad, June 12 (ANI): Pakistan said on Thursday that the search was still on for a Chinese tourist on a cycling tour of the country, kidnapped by the Taliban last month. The man was kidnapped on May 19 in Daraban, near the western city of Dera Ismail Khan. Abdullah Bahar, a senior Taliban commander, said the man was in their custody. Daraban police said they were searching for the man. Pakistan's Foreign Office Spokesperson, Tasneem Aslam said the teams were making efforts to recover the Chinese tourist. Jun 12, 2014

Khunti, June 05 (ANI): Maoists killed their one of the group's area commander Dubraj Manki along with his wife and one other in red corridor area of Jharkhand. Police said early investigations reveal that the rebels gunned down their fellow group members after an exchange of fire. According to the villagers, they had heard the gun being shot at night and in the morning they saw the dead bodies lying near the village road. Kin of dead Navy official demands martyrs status for their son

Kanpur, June 03 (ANI): Family members of dead Navy official Lt Commander Alok Sahu who was killed during the submarine INS Sindhurakshak fire when two blasts rocked the vessel and sank in Mumbai on August 14, 2013, demanded martyr status for their son. The family also expressed their grievances towards Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for completely neglecting them while paying visits to the other Navy officials who were killed along with Sahu during the submarine fire. The Navy official's father, PL Sahu said that the government should not discriminate between those who sacrificed their lives for country. Sahu's mother, Raj Kishori also urged the government to construct a memorial in the name of her dead son. Eighteen sailors went missing after weapons stored in the forward section of the Russian-built INS Sindhurakshak exploded in the middle of the night, causing a fire as it lay berthed in Mumbai.
