Rudhramadevi is all set to release in December

Director Gunasekhar’s dream project Rudramadevi, which has Anusha in the lead has finally completed shooting after two years of being on floor. Director Gunasekhar said that he was delighted that they've completed the project on time. He also added that they plan to release it in december. It is currently under post production stage which includes some 3d works. The periodic drama is the story of a fierce woman ruler of Kakatiya dynasty. Anushka is playing the titular role of 13 century Kakatiya queen Rudramadevi. She learnt sword fighting and horse riding for the role. The film features an ensemble cast of Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Baba Sehgal, Krishnam Raju, Catherine Tresa and Aditi Chengappa in important roles. Sep 9, 2014

Bijnor, Aug 29 (ANI): Alarmed by the by-election results of Uttarakhand and Bihar, the Bharatiya Janata Party constituted a high-profile team to lead the party’s campaign for the Uttar Pradesh bypolls scheduled next month. The party named Muzaffarnagar riots accused Suresh Rana as in-charge of Bijnor assembly seats while in other assembly constituencies, the local BJP leaders have been given prominence. Rana expressed confidence and said that the party will win the polls with majority and that people in UP wants a change from the ‘corrupt SP government’. Srinagar, Aug 28 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution on Indo-Pak talks which urges the Central government to resume its talks with the neighbouring nation. The resolution passed unanimously by the Legislative Council via a voice vote says the state government must urge the union government to resume Indo-Pak dialogue to maintain peace in region, especially in Jammu and Kashmir. National Conference leader Devender Singh Rana said that the resolution has been passed unanimously and urges government to take effective steps to resolve violations on LoC, besides taking steps to ensure rehabilitation of victims of LoC firing. Uproar in Kashmir assembly over resolution seeking Indo Pak talks

Srinagar, Aug 27 (ANI): Opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir created uproar in the state assembly on Wednesday over tabling of the resolution seeking Indo-Pak talks. Peace dialogue between India and Pakistan suffered a setback following Islamabad's decision to consult Kashmiri separatist leaders ahead of the foreign-secretary level talks between the two south Asian neighbours. President of Ruling Party of Kashmir, National Conference (NC), Devender Singh Rana, said that he was ashamed of the behaviour of certain political parties. India called off the bilateral dialogue with Pakistan, which was scheduled for August 25, after Islamabad's envoy Abdul Basit courted Kashmiri separatists ahead of the foreign secretary-level talks. Court pronounces life imprisonment to Sher Singh Rana in Phoolan Devi murder case

New Delhi, Aug 14 (ANI): A Delhi court on Thursday awarded life imprisonment to Sher Singh Rana in 2001 bandit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi murder case. While delivering its judgement, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Rana. Public Prosecutor Manisha Sharma said that they demanded death sentence from the court as it was pre planned murder, but the court refrained from the same. On August 08, the court convicted Rana, who gunned down Phoolan Devi, allegedly avenging the 1981 Behmai massacre in which she killed 17 people of the Thakur community. Aug 14, 2014
