Maoists attack Lohardaga bauxite mines, set vehicles on fire

Lohardaga, May 14 (ANI): Naxalites in Lohardaga town of Jharkhand raid the Pakhar mines, assaulted workers and set fire to trucks and a tractor. They made the labourers hand over their mobile phones before setting fire to the trucks and tractor and threatened to return if any attempt was made to douse the fire. A witness, Gopal, told reporters what actually happened. Police and authorities arrived at the scene of the attack and investigation is still in progress. Superintendent of Police Mrityunjay Kumar said that the attack was orchestrated by local Naxals. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since the 1960s. May 14, 2014

Reaction flows in as Gujarat police gives clean chit to Modi over FIR against him

New Delhi, May 02 (ANI): Political reactions poured in as the Gujarat police gave a clean chit to Narendra Modi over FIR against him, saying Modi was 100 meters away from the polling station. He said that there was no chance of getting any results out of this case wherein the commission is set up by Modi himself. Re-polling at some booths in Maharshtra, West Bengal & Assam

Mumbai, April 27 (ANI): Re polling is being observed in four areas of Maharashtra on Sunday out of which three are in Mumbai and one in Ahmednagar. The re-poll is taking place because of some technical issues occurred on the actual poll day. BJP leader Ram Naik highlighted the reasons and consequences of re-poll. Another BJP leader Gopal Shetty apologized to the public for this inconvenience caused at the cost of officials’ flaw. Meanwhile voter KN Mehta expressed the public view about re-polling and the possible reasons behind it. Re polling is also taking place in Assam and West Bengal.
