DU admissions: Students protest, go on hunger strike demanding VC's resignation

New Delhi, June 27 (ANI): Delhi University students have started an indefinite hunger strike demanding the resignation of Delhi University (DU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Dinesh Singh and an immediate rollback of the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP). Dhruv Sangwan, South Campus President from Indian National Students' Organization ( INSO ) said that students were suffering due to the confusion at the time of admission. Meanwhile, many protesting students and teachers have also gathered outside the VC's residence demanding his resignation. The standoff between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Delhi University has resulted in an inordinate delay in the admission procedure. DU VC acting like terrorist: DUTA President after confusion over VC's resignation surfaces

New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): As confusion over resignation by the Delhi University Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh surfaced following Sangit Ragi, deputy dean for academics, denying any such reports, DUTA President Nandita Narain said that VC is acting like a terrorist and has no moral values. Narain said that the guidelines to the university colleges are not clear and that VC has completely failed to carry on his duties properly.
