Pak hands over captured BSF jawan to India

RS Pura, Aug 08 (ANI): A Border Security Force jawan, who was swept away into Pakistan by the strong currents of the Chenab River and picked up by Pakistan Rangers was on Friday handed to India at a border crossing point in Jammu. BSF jawan Satyasheel Yadav, was handed over to his battalion commander Varesh Singh. The trooper was carried by the river current to Bajwaat village in Sialkot area of Pakistan. Aug 8, 2014

Chinese graziers pitching tents in Ladakh nothing to be concerned about: Praful Bakshi

New Delhi, July 27 (ANI): Talking about the Chinese graziers who reportedly pitched tents in the Demchok area of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir this week but withdrew after talks between troops on either side of the border, Wing Commander (Retd), Indian Air Force, Praful Bakshi said that this is nothing to be concerned about. The incident comes on the back of two reported incursion attempts by Chinese troops earlier this month in Demchok and Chumar areas of Ladakh. Bakshi said that the new government in India would not leave any stones unturned in this regard. He said that China will make a serious attempt in some time from now to see if the Indian army is ready. He also said that the Indian army should be ready at all times in such incidents. Jul 27, 2014

Security personnel kill Maoist, recover arms in Jharkhand

Khunti, July 23 (ANI): Acting on a tip-off, security personnel of India’s paramilitary, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), along with the police launched an operation to nab Maoists hiding in forest area in Jharkhand on Wednesday. During the search operations, Maoists started firing at the police and during the encounter, one Maoist was shot dead. The Maoist has been identified as Vishal alias Tulsi, who was a sub-junior commander and had 22 cases against him. During the encounter, a hardcore rebel, Panda Munda, belonging to People’s Liberation Front of India surrendered to the police. He is charged with a murder and 23 other cases. Jul 23, 2014
