All tourists stranded overnight rescued from cable cars in French Alps

At least 33 tourists spent the night at an altitude of around 3,800m after the wires of their cables cars became tangled early in the evening above Mont Blanc. Helicopters managed to rescue the majority of people and delivered blankets and food to the remainder, whilst rescue workers stayed with them overnight. Sep 9, 2016

South Koreas dog meat trade to be debated in UK parliament

British MPs are set to discuss South Koreas dog-meat factory farms in a Westminster Hall debate on 12 September. The first Parliament debate on Asias dog meat trade was held in November 2015, however, South Korea was not a focus, despite the fact that it is the only country in Asia that breeds dogs specifically for human consumption. Paddle boarders make the most of Hurrican Hermines floodwater

Paddle boarding enthusiasts in Florida, USA decided to make the most out of the flooding that has been caused by Hurricane Hermine. Hurrican Hermine approached Florida for the Gulf of Mexico on 1 September, with forecasters warning 80 mph winds and high seas for the next three days.
