New Delhi, Sept 12 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that there is no need to fear from terror group al-Qaeda's announcement of forming its wing in India and launching attacks. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, he said that nothing could be said about the authenticity of the video which is still under examination by various expert agencies.Al-Qaeda commander Ayman al-Zawahari had announced the formation of a new wing of the feared terrorist group dedicated to waging jihad in the Indian subcontinent. J&K Floods: Relief work has picked up, says Army

Udhampur: Addressing the media in Udhampur, Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen DS Hooda said that as the weather has improved from two days and rains have come to halt, the relief work has picked up in the flood-hit areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that around 20,000 people have been rescued and their priority is to rescue the people stranded in their houses and provide them with the relief supplies. Poonch, Aug 25 (ANI): Senior Army officers expressed confidence that the soldiers posted in forward areas along the India Pakistan border in Kashmir are well trained to foil any attempts by Pakistan to pump in infiltrators across the Line of Control. Kashmir has witnessed almost uninterrupted ceasefire violation by Pakistan since August 15. Brigade Commander, Sanjay Thakaran, posted in border district of Poonch said on Monday that the soldiers are aware of Pakistan's attempt to keep the tension on Line of Control high, but all such attempts will be thwarted. Chaibasa, Aug 17 (ANI): Police arrested six Maoists in India's red corridor of Chaibasa district in Jharkhand after acting on tip-off intelligence. Police have arrested the leading commander, two section commanders along with three hardcore Maoists of Jharkhand Regional Bhakpa (Maowadi), a communist party. DIG of Kolhan range, Mohammed Nehal, said that that they acted on exclusive intelligence information. The police recovered arms and explosives from the Maoists. Police arrest Maoist in Jharkhand

Latehar, Aug 11 (ANI): Police arrested a Maoist in Latehar district in the red corridor of Jharkhand. The Maoist, Mukesh Kumar Yadav, is the area commander of a rebel outfit, People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) and was arrested after police received secret information. Briefing media persons, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Rosan Gudiya said that it is big achievement for police as Yadav was booked under multiple cases of dacoity, killings and kidnappings. Police also seized a home made country pistol and two revolvers from Yadav.
