Unidentified group vandalises office property in Kerala

Kochi, Nov 10 (ANI): A group of unidentified miscreants, suspected to be Maoists, attacked an office on Monday (November 10), damaging glass walls and vehicles parked inside the compound, in Kerala. The group had their faces covered and was carrying steel pipes when it barged into the corporate office of Nitta Gelatin India Limited (NGIL) in Kochi city. The office's security guard, Victor, who was also an eyewitness to the incident, said the men forcefully entered the premises. Meanwhile, Managing Director of NGIL, Sajiv K Menon, said the men created ruckus in the office. The police are conducting an inquiry into the incident. Nov 10, 2014

Kerala Bar Hotels Association President firm on bribery charges against state finance minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 08 (ANI): The working President of Bar Hotels Association of Kerala, Biju Ramesh said that he stands by his allegations of bribery against the state Finance Minister KM Mani. Ramesh had accused Mani of seeking a bribe of rupees 50 million from him, of which an amount of rupees 10 million has already been paid. Kerela Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, however, had dismissed graft allegations against Mani and called the accusations baseless. CBI arrests BJD MP in Odisha chit fund scam

New Delhi, Nov 04 (ANI): The CBI on Tuesday arrested Biju Janata Dal MP, Ramchandra Hansda in connection with the Odisha chit fund scam. BJD leader Jay Panda said that the decision is respected as nobody is superior to law and added that the party's leadership will decide the further course of action. BJP leader Sambit Patra said that the action of CBI only validates the stand of BJP that Odisha chit fund scam was originated corrupt leaders.
