Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna who was in capital New Delhi to promote his upcoming show "Twist of Taste - The Sweet Life", listed his top five favoured sweet delights that one must try ahead of India's Festival of Lights, Diwali. The internationally renowned chef Vikas Khanna also spoke about his show and the difficulties he faced while giving his signature twist to the sweets. Known for his magic ladle and by his boyish grin, Khanna will be touring culturally rich cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mysore and Amritsar for the show. Delhi HC to hear plea of Sonia and Rahul in National Herald Case on Nov 03

New Delhi, Oct 01 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Wednesday posted the plea of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and other party leaders in the National Herald daily for final hearing on November 3. Congress leaders, including party treasurer Motilal Vora, general secretary Oscar Fernandes and Suman Dubey, had filed a petition in the high court on August 1, challenging a summons order that was issued to them by a trial court on a complaint by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy. Neelam Katara unhappy about DP Yadav sharing dais with Amit Shah

New Delhi, Oct 01 (ANI): Nitish Katara's mother Neelam Katara on Wednesday expressed her anguish over DP Yadav sharing the stage with BJP Chief Amit Shah, saying that such steps don't augur well for the common man. She said that this sets up a doubtful situation on whether 'achche din' are for people like DP Yadav or the common people of India. DP Yadav recently shared stage with Amit Shah in a couple of rallies in Haryana where the latter was campaigning for party candidates ahead of the Assembly polls slated to be held on October 15. He is the father of Vikas Yadav, who, along with his cousins Vishal and Sukhdev, has been held guilty of murdering Nitish Katara because he was involved in a relationship with his sister Bharti Yadav. BSF Chief flags off contingent for UN Mission

New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): Chief of Paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF), D. K. Pathak flagged off the contingent for 9th United Nations (UN) Organisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) on Monday in New Delhi. The BSF Peace-Keeping Mission which is the ninth consecutive contingent to Congo holds a total strengthen of 135 personnel which comprises seven officers, seven subordinate officers and 121 members of other ranks. The contingent who will be deployed in the African nation for a year to perform the duties is led by commandant BSF Yuvraj Dubey. Director General of BSF, Pathak said that this is a prestigious assignment and a specific capsule training on the UN based guidelines was imparted by the BSF to the personnel for their selection. Srinagar/Kathua, Sep 18 (ANI): Migrants hailing from Gujarat cried out for help as widespread mayhem caused by floods in Jammu and Kashmir has left many stranded. Residents stranded for days by the floodwaters said that the army has selectively evacuated tourists and people according to a pre-set priority list, leaving locals to be rescued later by volunteers. Migrant workers and poor people say they are all still struggling for basic amenities like safe drinking water, food packets and blankets. A woman migrant, Geeta, living in a makeshift hut inside a camp set up by paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF), said they had nowhere to go since their houses submerged in flood waters. Ranjit Sinha submits affidavit in 2G case trial to SC

New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): CBI director Ranjit Sinha on Friday filed his affidavit in the Supreme Court in respect of the accusations against him over the controversial visitors' logbook at his Delhi residence. Sinha's lawyer Vikas Singh said that he has placed the affidavit in a sealed cover before a bench led by Justice HL Dattu. The matter will be heard by the court on Monday next. It had earlier asked Sinha to reply to the plea moved for removing him from the 2G probe. Singh also alleged that the entire application filed by Prashant Bhushan is completely malicious and false.
