Manipur, Nov 23 (ANI): The vibrant folk dances performed by these tribal reflects their joy and happiness. The Kuki, Chin and Mizo tribes came together at the Manipur Rifles Ground to celebrate 'Chavang-Kut', the autumn post harvest festival. The thanksgiving festival shows gratitude to the almighty for a bountiful harvest with an offering of songs and dances. Audiences were enthralled by various folk and warrior dances. The main attraction was the Miss Kut 2014 beauty pageant contest. Participants from different communities, dressed in their best ethnic attires, walked the ramp. Lamneimoi Chongloi, won the tiara of Miss Kut 2014. In Shillong, 5 day-long "Nongkrem Dance" a post harvest festival of the Khasi tribe was recently celebrated at the Iing Sad the royal palace of High Priestess of the state of Khyrim. Thousands of people thronged the venue to witness the traditional rituals of Khasi tribe. Nov 23, 2014
