Gadkari defamation case: Kejriwal jailed for 14 days, next hearing on June 6

New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convener Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to 14-day judicial custody in the defamation case filed by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari. Kejriwal was sent to Tihar Jail after he refused to pay a personal bond as directed by the court. The next hearing is on June 6. He has already spent two nights in judicial custody after he refused to pay the personal bond saying it was against AAP's principles. Kejriwal had alleged that Gadkari is one of the most corrupt leaders of India following which the BJP leader had moved court. May 23, 2014

Tewari said that the autonomy of the Prasar Bharti is guaranteed by an act of the Parliament and that the IandB Ministry has an arms length relationship with the organization. He also said that it was on his initiative that Sam Pitroda committee was constituted and one of its terms was looking at government- Prasar Bharti relation.
