Fans celebrate Amitabh Bachchans birthday in unique way

Allahabad/ Bhopal, Oct 11 (ANI): Fans all across India celebrated Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s 72nd birthday with great fervor on Saturday (October 11). The enthusiastic fans in Allahabad city, also the hometown of the actor, said that they wish that their idol celebrates more and more birthdays and he keeps making good films for the people. The fans have formed various fan clubs and committees for their favourite idol. Prayag Service Committee is one of such kind. Gauri Shankar Malviya is another fan who has collected the movies and posters of the megastar in Bhopal. He has formed a committee called Big B Fans Service Committee. Bachchan quit his job as a Calcutta freight broker for films and earned recognition in the 1970s after playing a Dirty Harry-style cop in the ground-breaking movie, 'Zanjeer'. Mumbai, Oct 11 (ANI): Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday thanked his fans for wishes on his 72nd birthday. He said that the day will be celebrated among family members in a very simple way as all the ladies in the house are on fast for 'Karwa Chauth'. Further, he said that grad-daughter Aaradhya is his best gift on his birthday. Big B who took blessings from parents before coming, also said that this is his daily routine and that his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan never liked 'western cakes' and so they now get cakes made of 'khoa', a dairy product and don't keep candles on them too. Amitabh Bachchan to campaign for 'Banega Swachh India'

New Delhi, Sept 28 (ANI): Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who successfully led the campaign to eradicate Polio from the country, has now lent his support to the cleanliness drive 'Banega Swachh India'. The 71-year-old actor, who has been named the ambassador for this campaign, said he is proud to be associated with the cause as sanitation has been on his mind for quite some time. "I feel very strongly about projects like saving the tiger, polio and tuberculosis. For quite some time now sanitation has been on my mind and when this opportunity came I had to be a part of this campaign," Bachchan said during the launch of the 'Banega Swachh India' campaign. Bachchan said he learned the habit of cleanliness from his father, late poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who was very strict about it.
