Opposition leaders say nothing new in President's address, BJP defends

New Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): Leaders of Opposition parties on Monday said that President Pranab Mukherjee's address in the Parliament on the first day of Budget Session did not inform anything new. BSP Chief Mayawati said that the speech was supposed to inform about the policies of government but it didn't give much information. NCP leader Praful Patel said that President did not give an influential speech. JD (U) Chief Sharad Yadav said that Mukherjee's speech was so blunt that many people were sleeping. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said that the government has 'Sabka Saath' but 'Vikas' is only reaching the rich and big corporate. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi clarified that the Opposition parties should not blame government to make changes to the Land Acquisition Bill as Congress did not work on them in the last so many years. President Mukherjee addresses Budget Session in Lok Sabha

New Delhi, Feb 23 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee addressed the Parliament as the Budget Session in Lok Sabha began on Monday. Mukherjee said 'Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas' is the government's fundamental view. He appealed to all the Members of the Parliament to spend 50 percent of MPLAD fund on the 'Swachh Bharat' mission. The Budget Session contains 44 items of financial, legislative and non-legislative business. The first part of the Budget Session will continue till March 20 while the second part will commence after a month-long break from April 20 and conclude on May 8. The Rail Budget will be presented on February 26, Economic Survey on February 27 and General Budget on February 28. Feb 23, 2015

Politicos react after six Jharkhand Vikas Morcha MLAs join BJP

New Delhi/ Ranchi, Feb 11 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Wednesday after six MLAs of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha joined the BJP in presence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Delhi. JVM chief Babulal Marandi said that BJP has drowned all their policies in the seashore of Gujarat. He further alleged that BJP is trying to kill the democracy of the country.
