Katra, Sep 25 (ANI): Inflow of tourists has drastically come down in the last few weeks due to the devastating floods in Jammu and Kashmir, business and lives of residents have been hit amid creating fear in the minds of devotees planning to take up the pilgrimage to the cave shrine of Vaishno Devi during busy festival season. The number of pilgrims to Vaishno Devi pilgrimage has waned during the peak festive season in the flooded valley. Floods have shattered all hopes of small as well as big businessmen. Trucks carrying flood relief material halted near border check post in Kashmir

Kathua, Sept 24 (ANI): Government authorities in Jammu and Kashmir stopped nearly 45 trucks loaded with relief material for flood victims from entering inside the valley at the border. Trucks carrying food items, utensils, blankets, medicines and more were stopped at Lakhanpur in Kathua district – the gateway to Jammu and Kashmir – by the Toll Posts of Excise Department and the Sales Tax Department due to incomplete formalities. The trucks belonged to Shri Amarnath Sewa Mandal of Patiala, an organization that works to help the poor, old and unprivileged people and is also devoted to help people undertaking the pilgrimage to sacred shrine of Amarnath. This grand piece of art is made to promote Charuvi Design Lab’s animated film ‘Shri Hanuman Chalisa’. Indicating the festivities of Diwali, this interactive bell sculpture is a unique celebration of light interpreted in a large-scale. The most amazing part is that if one touches Lord Hanuman’s paduka, the whole sculpture rings and the vibrations make you feel His blessings. Multiple faiths throng to annual Urs of sufi saint Syed Hazrat Jalal Shah to pay him obeisance

Haldwani, Sep 16 (ANI): India is a land of multiple faiths, and people of the country enjoy this diversity with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. This week we take you to the Haldwani City in Uttrankhand where devotees belonging to different communities pay obeisance to sufi saint, Syed Hazrat Jalal Shah. A large number of devotees, including men, women and children throng the annual Urs of Baba to pay rich tributes to saint. During the celebration, people gather around the shrine of Baba and chant hymns to seek blessings. Various rituals, as per Sufi tradition, are also performed here. Odisha, Sept.11, (ANI): To commemorate the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, India's renowned sand artist, Sudarsan Pattnaik, sculpted the twin towers of World Trade Centre on the beaches of Puri in eastern Odisha, with the message 'No Terror, but Peace.' Pattnaik created a five feet high sand replica of the twin towers in the middle of the number nine so as to represent the number eleven. The sculpture was made using five tonnes of sand and took about seven hours to complete. It also carried the message, 'No Terror, But Peace'. So far, winner of Padma Shri, a civilian honour, Sudarsan has participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture championships and festivals around the world and won many prizes for the country.
