CCTV footage shows men assault shopkeeper with avocados and bananas

A New York City shopkeeper suffered a broken jaw after two men threw avocados and bananas at him on 29 May. New York police released footage of the attack at Stadium Gourmet Deli in an effort to identify the suspects.The incident was triggered by a dispute over a food order, police said in a press release. In addition to the broken jaw, the 21-year-old victim suffered a cut and fractures to his face. He was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.The store owner told ABC 7 the men appeared to be drunk during the incident just before 5 am. Top US Republican Steve Scalise shot at Virginia baseball field

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others were injured when a gunman opened fire on members of Congress practicing for a charity baseball game this morning at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia. Five people were injured in the shooting, including Scalise, R-Louisiana, the House majority whip, as well as the suspect. Scalises office said Scalise was shot in the hip and is undergoing surgery. He is listed in stable condition, his office said. Jun 14, 2017
