Pak helping militants to infiltrate in Indian Territory: Security Expert

Bhopal/ Poonch, Jan 06 (ANI): Security expert said that Pakistan was trying to help militants enter India by firing at border posts in Jammu and Kashmir. Indian and Pakistani troops intensified cross-border firing overnight, even as one Indian border guard died in the firing. A senior Indian official with the border security force said they had retaliated against machine gun and mortar attacks on about 60 positions along a more than 200-km (125-mile) stretch of the border. A security expert, SR Sinho said that Pakistan was helping militants infiltrate in Indian Territory as they were planning something big before January 26. Amid the growing hostility, India's security agencies last week declared a nationwide alert to avoid militant strikes in the lead-up to visits by top US diplomat John Kerry and President Barack Obama later in January. Meanwhile, villagers living along the international border in Poonch district condemned the firing. A resident of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Mohammad Iqbal said firing was not the solution. Hyderabad/ New Delhi, Jan 04 (ANI): A lawyer in Hyderabad city of Andhra Pradesh filed a petition on Sunday against a US liquor company for using iconic freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi's picture on beer cans. New England Brewing Company came out with beer cans named 'Gandhi-Bot' claiming that their intention was to pay homage to Gandhi. He also said that using Gandhi's image on the beer cans is punishable under Indian laws. Matt Westfall, head brewer and partner at the New England Brewing Company, has apologised on behalf of the company through mail. Meanwhile, CPI leader D Raja said the American company should understand the sentiments of people. The kite festival which marks the end of winter will start on January 10 and will culminate on January 13. The shops in Rajkot are loaded with kites of all the types but the customers are seen going after the one with Modi printed on them. A kite seller, Ravi Tak, said that the demands of Modi kites are increasing every year.
