New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Former IPS Officer and Social activist Kiran Bedi on Sunday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on AIR and said that the PM is an educating and transformating leader. She said that the prime minister gave a very important message voicing concern over the 'devastating' drug addiction menace. After the third 'Mann Ki Baat' programme on radio in which Modi urged youths to shun drugs, Bedi urged the youth to use the national helpline and say no to drugs. Bedi said that the sale of drugs needs to be reduced as the money goes in the pockets of terrorists and ultimately becomes crime money. At least 29 children hospitalised in Chhattisgarh after consuming mid-day meal

Korba, Dec 06 (ANI): At least 29 children were hospitalized in Chhattisgarh after they fell ill on consuming mid-day meals at school. The students reported dizziness and vomiting after consuming mid day meal at school in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. District Magistrate Reena Babasaheb Kangale said that condition of all the students is stable. She added that the matter will be investigated by the SDM. Meanwhile students said that the food smelled of alcohol. Reports of students falling ill due to consumption of mid day meals provided at government schools are becoming normal especially in states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Dec 6, 2014

2002 hit-and-run case: Salman's blood alcohol content high, confirms expert

Mumbai, Dec 03 (ANI): Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is facing trial for killing a pavement dweller and injuring four others in a 2002 hit and run case, has tested positive for alcohol content in his blood at the time of accident. A forensic expert told a sessions court in Mumbai on Wednesday that content of alcohol in Salman's blood was higher than permissible limit. The alcohol content in Salman's blood was 62mg, which is more than double the permissible limit of 30mg. Salman is on trial in the sessions court for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
