2G scam: AAP comes out with fresh charges against Karunanidhi, Kanimozhi

New Delhi, Feb 4 (ANI): AAP Leader Prashant Bhushan in a press conference on Tuesday said that they are in possession of a series of recorded telephonic conversations that implicate DMK leader Kanimozhi further in the 2G scam. The AAP leader alleged that a huge cover-up was engineered in the telecom scam to protect Kanimozhi and the owner of Kalaignar TV and DMK chief M Karunanidhi was aware of the plan. Bhushan claimed that leaked audio tapes prove Kanimozhi accepted Rs.200 crore from a telecom firm which was allotted a mobile network license by then Union Telecom Minister A Raja in 2008. Cabinet approves BWA spectrum refund to BSNL and MTNL

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): The Cabinet approved a proposal to refund state-run telecom companies for surrender of broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum. The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) did not take part in the 2010 spectrum auction. Both the BSNL and the MTNL surrendered their spectrum and sought refunds of payments made.
