A tanker carrying Iranian oil collided with a Chinese vessel and burst into flames in the East China Sea on Sunday (January 7). 32 crew members are currently unaccounted for. At least 48 people have died after a bus careened off the side of a tall cliff and crashed on the beach below. The accident took place on the Panamericana Norte highway near the area of Pasamayo, 80km (50 miles) north of Lima. Road accidents are common in Peru because of unsafe highways.
