New Delhi, Jan 19 (ANI): Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, said on Monday that the security agencies are prepared well for US President Barack Obama's three-day visit to India at Republic Day as the Chief Guest. Rijiju said that any kind of security arrangements which are made for the visit of any foreign eminent personality's visit to India have been made for Obama's visit and there is no difference of any kind in terms of security. Police tighten security near Taj Mahal after US warns of militant threat

Agra, Jan 17 (ANI): Security has been tightened in and around Taj Mahal in Agra ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit. The US president will arrive in New Delhi on January 25 and hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Washington in September. An official agenda has not been released. According to media reports, Obama is likely to visit Taj Mahal. Senior police officials said they were taking no chances with security after an alert from US intelligence that militants operating from Pakistan could target the Agra-Delhi Yamuna expressway. Security stepped up in Kashmir ahead of Obama's visit

Srinagar, Jan 16 (ANI): Security has been strengthened in Jammu and Kashmir in view of US President Barack Obama's visit later in January for Republic Day celebrations. Inspector General of paramilitary Central Police Reserve Force (CRPF), SK Bhandari, said that the force was leaving no stone unturned to ensure full-proof security. Bhandari said infiltration bids are likely to rise in the state ahead of the high-profile visit. Reportedly, the security forces on Friday captured a dreaded terrorist belonging to the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) from Choora area in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore district. The LeT militant, identified as Abu Mawya, was reportedly hiding inside the house of a Sarpanch in the Choora locality from where he was arrested by the Special Operation Group. Jan 16, 2015
