Differentiating reactions come in as Uma Bharti says Sanskrit can replace English as link language

New Delhi/ Nagpur, Nov 23 (ANI): Differentiating reactions come in as Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti took the argument on German as a third language in Kendriya Vidyalayas and said that Sanskrit could, in course of time, replace English as a link language which everyone in India would understand. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the NDA government is taking undue advantage of being in the government and that imposing any language is not fair when they themselves are not using Sanskrit as their link language. Meanwhile, RSS Leader MG Vaidya said that Sanskrit is the base of Hindi language, which is India’s national language and so it should be accepted in the nation. All states in favour of interlinking rivers: Uma Bharti

New Delhi, Nov 22 (ANI): Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti on Saturday said that all the states, barring one or two, were in favour of inter-linking rivers, while addressing the 'Jal Mathan' conference. Bharti inaugurated the national conference, 'Jal Mathan', which will take up consultations with state irrigation ministers, secretaries for water resources. The three-day conference will also discuss issues like water security, water projects, farm water management and rejuvenation of water bodies. Bharti said the government would address concerns of the states and environmentalists. Market Experts credit PM Modi's Australia visit for Sensex, Nifty hitting record highs

The SandP BSE Sensex rallied as much as 105 points in trade on Tuesday to touch its fresh record high of 28282.85, led by gains in RIL, Bharti Airtel, LandT and Sesa Sterlite. Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also surged 24 points to touch its fresh lifetime high of 8454.50, supported by gains in metal, power, capital goods and auto stocks. M arket Expert Akash Jindal said that Modi's Australia visit has been a positive one and that that Modi is bringing along optimism in the nation's economy.
