Bangalore to get its first Starbucks outlet

New Delhi, Nov 21 (ANI): Famed coffee retailer, Starbucks will now serve people of India’s IT hub as it announced to open its outlet in Bangalore. Starbucks, which has joint venture with Tata Global Beverages, parent of Tata Coffee will open its store in southern city on November 22. Starbucks opened its first flagship store in Mumbai in 2012. The coffee retailer now runs stores in Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. Mumbai boy Prithvi Shaw breaks Indian batting record of highest individual score

Mumbai, Nov 21 (ANI): A school boy in Mumbai was being hailed as the next Sachin Tendulkar after he scored a record 546, while batting in a domestic competition. Prithvi Shaw, who is also the captain of the Under-16 Mumbai team, surpassed the record of Dadabhoy Havewalla, who scored 515 in 1933-34, which was the previous highest by an Indian in any form of registered competitive cricket. Shaw who idolizes Tendulkar said that although he does not believe in copying the batting style of the 'little master', he does admire his honesty. Shaw's current coach, Rajeev Pathak said that people in cricketing circles have already started to take notice of this young boy, while praising his student for showing tremendous patience and skill. PM, Sonia inaugurate first all-women bank

Mumbai, Nov 19 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday inaugurated the country's first all-women bank, the Bharatiya Mahila Bank, an initiative to empower women, with a corpus of rupees 10 billion to function as a universal bank. The announcement for this initiative was made by Indian Finance Minister, P Chidambaram during the annual budget, earlier this year. The inauguration of the bank coincided with the birth anniversary of former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
