Opposition says elections in flood hit J&K should be delayed

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Congress party said on Wednesday (October 15) that elections in flood affected state of Jammu and Kashmir must not take place until normalcy returns. CPI leader Atul Anjan, also said elections should be delayed. However, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), reportedly, wants to have elections across the state as scheduled as it feels the rescue and rehabilitation work conducted by it in Jammu and Kashmir might help boost its image. Vizag, Oct 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired a high level meeting to take stock of situation in Andhra Pradesh after the Cyclone Hudhud hit the state. PM Modi lauded the meteorological department for making efficient use of technology in predicting the intensity of the cyclone and thereby mineralizing the effect of the same.
