Time-lapse shows Winnipegs largest living maple leaf as tribute to Canada 150 celebrations

Thousands of people, wearing red shirts, gathered at an intersection in downtown Winnipeg, Canada, to form the largest living maple leaf to celebrate the countrys 150th anniversary. Downtown Winnipeg Biz, which organised the event, said at least 3,600 people were involved in the stunt that took place on Saturday (1 July) morning local time. A few people, wearing white, formed 150 under the maple leafs stem.This is reported to be the seventh year that Canadians have gathered in the shape of the countrys iconic symbol. Jul 2, 2017
