Police rescue four mining officials abducted by Maoists in Jharkhand

Chaibasa, Dec 06 (ANI): Police rescued four mining officials, who were abducted by Maoists in Jharkhand, said a senior official. Deputy Directors of mines department, Bipin Bihari Satiyar, Saket Bharti, stenographer Mahanti Toppo and driver Nitai Chandra were kidnapped by Maoists in west Singhbhum district. Superintendent of Police, Narendra Kumar Singh said the abductees were found in forest, as rebels ran away due to police's fear. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s. Dec 6, 2014

Ranchi, Dec 5 (ANI): Four mining officials were abducted in Jharkhand, said a senior official on Friday. According to the media reports, the deputy directors of the mines department Bipin Bihari Satiyar, Saket Bharti, stenographer Mahanti Toppo and driver Nitai Chandra were kidnapped by Maoists in West Singhbhum district. Though, their whereabouts is unknown still. Distraught family of abductees urged the kidnappers to release them soon. New Delhi, Dec 01 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday reacted over the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government's refusal to make the files on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose public, saying the revelations would "prejudicially affect" relations with foreign countries. The Prime Minister's Office has shared only a list of 41 such files. In the run-up to the general elections, the then BJP president and present Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in January asked the UPA government to reveal the mystery behind Netaji's death.
