New Delhi, Oct 31 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid floral tributes at the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary in Parliament. PM Modi was accompanied by Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu, BJP senior leader LK Advani, Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan and others. The leaders offered rose petals in front of a huge portrait of Sardar Patel in Parliament House. BJP hails Modi's 'Run For Unity' campaign on Sardar Patel's birthday

New Delhi, Oct 31 (ANI): The BJP on Friday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the initiative to celebrate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary by organizing the 'Run For Unity' campaign. Prime Minister Modi on Friday flagged off the campaign at Rajpath. Modi earlier arrived at Patel Chowk in the heart of Delhi, where he paid floral tributes to Patel on his 139th birth anniversary. Modi then administered Unity pledge to thousands of participants present at Rajpath addressing the participants of 'Run for Unity'. Maharashtra CM designate Fadnavis participates in 'Run for Unity' event

Ahmedabad/ Mumbai/ Raipur, Oct 31 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister designate Devendra Fadnavis participated in the 'Run for Unity' marathon near Hotel Trident on Friday. Governor C Vidyasagar Rao flagged off the event which was also attended by Union Information and Broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar. Fadnavis, who will be sworn-in as the first BJP Chief Minister of Maharashtra today, said he was ready to take forward Prime Minister Modi's message of unity in the country. New Delhi/ Hyderabad, Oct 31 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday flagged off 'Run for Unity' at the Rashtrapati Bhavan to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary. The residents and staff of Rashtrapati Bhavan, along with the President's Bodyguard, the army guard and the Delhi Police participated in the run. A Unity pledge was also administered by Omita Paul, secretary to the president, to all the staff members prior to the run. Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh flagged off 'Run for Unity' in Hyderabad to mark the birth anniversary of Patel.
